Most of the time that Dave is not napping, his expression looks like some combination of concerned, annoyed, and alarmed. In the case seen below, he has adopted a walrus-sitting-on-a-rock pose on one of his favorite chairs. He imagines himself to be a modern-day Mufasa, keeping a watchful eye over his kingdom. He takes his Kingly responsibilities very seriously. One might ask Dave, "Why so serious?!" He lives a quiet life, where it seems that his most serious concerns are how to make more food appear and how to balance his time between hobbies like looking out the window and napping. But you don't know what Dave's eyes have seen. Maybe he has a good reason for being wary of his surroundings.
