Here you can see The Fluff enjoying one of his favorite hobbies, reading about current events in the newspaper. This is a hobby that Dave does not often have the opportunity to pursue. He used to have access to newspapers when he lived on the mean streets of Iowa (although he had to steal them from peoples' porches,) but when he transitioned to a domestic life after being "rescued," he lost access to newspapers.

GREAT WHITE DAVE
Dave is an impressive animal. He has powerful loins, a great sense of smell, and he pursues his goals with reckless abandon. Dave can use his powers to achieve great things, but he can also use them violently. Despite presently enjoying a quiet domestic life, Dave still retains some of his outdoor instincts. This can lead to scenarios where Dave mistakes something innocuous, such as a human foot, for something more sinister. Scenarios like this often result in sudden appearances of GREAT WHITE DAVE.

Even in the summer
Dave has many developed many strategies over the years to help him cope with the dreadful heat in the summer months. Dave's colleague LeiLei has even adopted one of these strategies. But even so, Dave is not continuously overheated during the summer. Some days, such as on those inexplicable days when a large and loud machine blows cold air onto Dave, he likes to lay under a blanket.

The Summer Months
When the weather gets warmer in the summer, Dave employs a set of napping strategies that allows him to remain cool. When he does this, he is a pretty cool cat in more ways than one. In other words, he is cool both temperature-wise and personality-wise.

A Cool Strategy
Dave likes to employ this strategy when the weather is warm. He has only ever lived in terrible climates that have extreme summers with unacceptable humidity, and he has to do things like this to keep cool. He isn't always happy about it, but his flexibility allows him to thrive even in the most trying times.

The Bullet Train
Last week, we studied Dave's uncanny ability to combine multiple napping strategies into one. His ability to do this certainly plays a large role in the tremendous berth that separates Dave's napping abilities from those of all other cats. Here you can see what appears at first glance to be yet another installment of the legendary napping strategy, RocketDave. But when you examine Dave a little more closely, you will see that he has actually combined RocketDave with one of his natural land formation-inspired styles, The Valley, creating something wholly new, a strategy that we can call "The Bullet Train."

RocketDave, Volume X
Dave has been a little melancholy lately. His excitement level had approached maximum levels recently when he noticed that his travel box had been taken out of the closet. He assumed, as any rational cat would assume, that he was about to take a trip somewhere. He would have been happy to go anywhere really. It's not that he doesn't enjoy and appreciate his home life, it's just that it does get dull at times being cooped up indoors. After growing up on the mean streets of Iowa, it can be tough for Dave to stay in one spot all the time.
That's why he again adopted the RocketDave position today. He wants to be ready at a moments notice in case he gets to go somewhere soon.
And all this science I don't understand! |

The Conch Crevasse, Volume II
Dave is well-known to combine multiple effective napping strategies into one glorious napping strategy, such as The Conch Crevasse, seen here. His idea is that if each strategy provides it's own set of advantages, there is no reason he can't combine all of those advantages into one even greater strategy. He even has high hopes that he can one day, probably far in the future, combine three or four napping strategies into one omnibus strategy. Can you imagine the level of comfort that could come from combining The Crevasse, The Conch, and RocketDave? Probably not.
